Perception is mind blowing

images.jpeg-1

The concept of perception blows my mind when I try to wrap my head around it. It has always baffled me as to how a group of people watching the same exact occurrence go down will each tell you different explanations as to what they perceived happened. And not one of them will be exactly the same.

Take 4 people and sit them at a card table, one facing each direction. Place a cereal box in the center of the table with each person looking at a different side.

Every single person is looking at the same box – but every person will explain differently what they see when looking at it due to their angle and line of sight.

An interesting point is that if it is in a language that they don’t understand, it’ll be harder for them to explain.

I used to think that people couldn’t change. I also believed in an eye for an eye. I used to say “I hate people,” and mean it. I also didn’t believe in God.

Every single thought above has changed for me, and significantly. Because what truly changed was my perception. I was able to reprogram my thought processes, and continue to do so every day. I leave everything I perceive to be truth as fluid so that in case new information surfaces, I am able to take it into account and make up my decision to keep or change the thought – based on that new information.

If you are willing to hear out what the others sitting at the table say as they explain what they are seeing, you just might be able to see more of the whole picture.

People can change. I am living proof of this. And if you choose to see that – it will become a reality for you.

It’s all up to you what you see. You decide if you sit at the table or not. You decide which chair to sit in and you decide whether to listen to other people’s opinions of what they see or not.

If you choose not to, life will be exactly what you make it. One sided.

If you choose to hear them out, you might experience life in a whole new way.

I choose to believe that people are good. I choose to believe that people can change. I choose to believe that there is a God and that his love for us is beyond comprehension.

I now choose positivity, love, light and balance and I choose to love each and every person on this planet. But most important of all, I think, is that I choose not to judge.

What do you choose to perceive?

Energy Waves

I have felt a massive influx of energy in the last few days and things are sparking up and acting up in every direction.

I feel it’s one of those times to strap your seatbelt on and prepare for a ride. Not all people fancy roller coasters but I’m not sure that there is an option at this point. It’s probably not the best time to make crazy, rash decisions or anything like that, but that time is coming soon.

For now, I have found that the best things to do in times of extreme energy waves are:

1 – Realize that it’s happening and take a few deep breaths and relax. Whether it’s extreme up or extreme down – this too shall pass

2 – Maintain balance by paying attention to your thoughts and actions and meditating or at least take a few moments being aware of yourself and your feelings and recalibrate if necessary.

3 – Get a good laugh and spend time with people who make you happy.

4 – Take a walk or get some fresh air. Be present in the moment and let everything else go for a few minutes. You can always revisit any issues you are dealing with afterwards.

5 – Go for a swim, if possible, or take a nice bath or shower. Nothing helps you balance better than spending a few moments in cleansing and rejuvenating water.

6 – Drink plenty of water and watch what you eat. These types of energies sometimes make us lean towards choices that make us happy at the moment but feel sad or bad later.

7 – Be grateful. This will probably be on every list I ever make for every reason and probably should be number one. Being grateful for what you have makes you crave less and reduces anxiety as well as brings thoughts of happiness and joy.

8 – Focus on something besides yourself. Help a friend or neighbor with something or even volunteer your time at a non profit or animal shelter.

The waves of energy tell me that things are changing and that sometimes we have to experience unsettling things or even go through a physical sickness in order for us to cleanse the old and bring in the new.

So if you have been sick lately or felt like you are on a roller coaster of emotions just realize that your body is recalibrating and getting ready to usher in some new and improved positive energy all around you.

Don’t allow negative things to take away your inner peace.

On my homefront there were 3 active shooters at a local mall who shot 2 people and scared the hell out of everyone else in the vicinity.

This makes people anxious to go out in public, and makes them afraid for the safety of themselves and their loved ones. Here’s where your inner peace comes in handy.

If you allow yourself in your mind to go to those scary places that cause you fear and you come up with a game plan of what your reaction might be – you can relieve yourself of some of the fear by being mentally prepared in your mind.

I’m not saying to dwell on it – quite the opposite. What I mean is – allow your brain to go to the scary place. Visualize what your plan of action to the situation may be… and then store it away for a day that will probably never come. But if it does – at least you are mentally prepared to deal with it.

Death is a part of life and some people die so tragically that our brains do not want to go there. Unfortunately that only causes more anxiety and stress.

See a therapist if you feel it would help for them to walk you through this, but otherwise – don’t allow the situation to rob you of your inner peace and living your life.

Me, personally, if someone pulls a gun on me and I don’t think I can safely run away – my plan is to get down on my knees and pray. Pray for the shooter, myself and my family. That’s my plan. I have come to my own personal peace with this and it has honestly helped take fear out of most situations.

That and the fact that I’m trying to live my life in a way that I clear my conscience every day and try not to wrack up any more things I might regret in my last breaths.

You can apply this to any situation that scares you or gives you anxiety.

Inner peace is important. It helps with not only your own life but with the balance of the world. Don’t let negative things rob you of that.

What you seek – you will find

“Seek and ye shall find.” Just about everyone has heard this before and it comes from the King James version of the bible in Matthew 7:7-8.

“Be careful what you wish for – because you just might get it.” That one is relating back to an ancient Chinese proverb.

“Don’t go looking for trouble because you just might find it.” Based on Proverbs 11:27 that states “He who searches out good finds favor but evil will come to him who seeks it”.

My point being: We create our own reality. What you look for, you will absolutely find. If you go looking for negative things – you’ll absolutely find them. Likewise for positive things.

Also, what you seek may not be right for you and you’ll only know that when you get it. Being mindful of your wants and desires and recognizing why you desire them matters so much.

You can honestly manifest anything your heart desires into reality with belief and faith.

So I ask you to be consciously aware of your answer – what is it you seek??
