May I introduce you to the darkness? Honestly though, you’ve probably already met…

Do you ever get those super negative thoughts that creep into your mind and say things like you aren’t good enough? Or that you are fat? Or not pretty? It is my belief – that THAT IS the darkness. There are thousands of people in the world right now listening to what the darkness has to say without knowing how to figh back and they are losing the battle to the point of giving up and even commiting suicide.

Let me start from the beginning; I had a spiritual awakening this last year and many things became oh so very clear to me. One of them was that we, as humans, are definitely at war. But not the kind you fight with guns and bombs, the kind that is fought spiritually. Mentally. The kind you win with compassion, love and light.

Whether you are religious, spiritual or even just believe in aliens, I feel that there’s a way that you can connect and latch on to this theory. Religious people understand what the darkness is to be satan and demons, or fallen angels and hell. Spiritual people believe somewhat of the same except for that they basically call the thought of the devil – low, dark and negative energies. Same difference from where I’m sitting. Now for the alien believers or “X-filer”s as I will refer to them just this once… If you can believe that there are other planets with humanoids on them and also other planets with non-humanoids and both contain good and menacing beings, you might be able to understand that those menacing beings are the darkness and that they use mind control and probing to implant negative thoughts in your mind and make you have self esteem issues and force you to make decisions based off of your ego and pride instead of reality and compassion.

The darkness exists in all realms, on all planes and dimensions and if you are not aware, it can creep up and cripple your mental well-being and fill your mind with doubt and with poisonous thoughts. In this battle that we are in, which I feel is the ultimate battle for souls and the battle of light and dark, the dark arm themselves by using technology and our thoughts of ourselves and also how we view others, against us. Social media, news, cell phones, movies and television shows aide in tearing us apart as a human race and they all help force the darkness deeper down our throats to the point where we are choking ourselves to death. I am not saying they are all bad and to stay away completely but limiting your time with them wouldn’t hurt and also putting them into perspective as far as how much they are affecting you and also using good judgement to decide if, when and how much you rely on them.

It may sound ridiculous to say out loud but the only way to fight and win this particular, most important, life changing, earth saving battle is by filling yourself up with love and light and putting compassion in your heart and mind in ALL things. Regardless of what comes at you, if you know it’s the darkness speaking and trying to break you down and make you fail then it’s easier to fight back and say, “You have no power over me. I love myself and others and I will not allow you to control my life or my brain any longer.”

I have prayed and asked for the gift of discernment:

dis·cern·ment
/dəˈsərnmənt/
noun
  1. 1.
    the ability to judge well.
    “an astonishing lack of discernment”
  2. 2.
(in Christian contexts) perception in the absence of judgment with a view to obtaining spiritual direction and understanding.
“without providing for a time of healing and discernment, there will be no hope of living through this present moment without a shattering of our common life”

Discernment is something I believe we all possess, but I wished for mine to be absolute. Discern for yourself any messages that you get from me or that are in your head or that you hear anywhere else… Decide for yourself if that is really you putting yourself down and holding you back. Or comparing you to someone else and making you feel jealous. Or anything negative at all. I would wager that it is all the darkness and you can have power over it. You can be a warrior of the light and survive this battle on the beautiful, compassionate, loving, caring, peaceful bright side.

First and foremost learn to love yourself… like a mother loves her newborn baby or like how the creator loves you. And then learn to love others in the same way and see the good and light inside of all of them. No matter who they are, where they live, or what they have done – in your mind fill them up with love and light and have compassion for them as a fellow human being. If we all stand together and shine our lights, the darkness can no longer exist and the war will be won.

  1. I understand now, much better – the path that you have been led on, in order to bring you to the place that you now are at. It has been a journey I wouldn’t wish on anyone, but in you it has been like the refiners fire in making gold. You truly do have this gift of discernment and it is wonderful to see it in you and how you now use it to bless others. The people you come into contact with who truly understand what you are representing will consider themselves blessed for this understanding, and you will be blessed for your part in bringing this light and joy.
This is why the forces of darkness are upset, but they will have no power over you at all, because light always disperses darkness. Your faith and hope will all be rewarded, and there are so many on both sides of the veil of life and eternity who love you so much and are doing all they can to help and encourage you, as well.
There is a scripture that encourages me in these times and I want to add here part of a talk regarding it that was given in LDS conference in 2001:
“As parents and leaders of youth, it might be easy to lose our faith and wring our hands with worry for them and the world they are living in.
Our circumstances today are not without precedence or hope. When Enoch was the prophet, the heavens wept because of the wickedness of the world (see Moses 7:28–37). There is no doubt the heavens are weeping today.
Elisha the prophet was surrounded by the whole Syrian army determined to kill him. He reassured his worried and only companion, who was busy counting Syrian heads, that when we are on the Lord’s side, regardless of numbers or worldly power, we are in the majority. I testify that the consoling words of Elisha to his young friend are still true today: “They that be with us are more than they that be with them” (2 Kgs. 6:16). The Lord will surround and protect our young people with chariots of fire, as He did for Elisha, in the form of parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, leaders, and friends who will vigorously love them and lead them.”
    This is for you, too.
I love and appreciate you for the person you are, the shining example for so many, myself included.
    Dad

    1. More and more tears Dad and you know I hate to cry!! Thank you for your understanding and encouraging words and your knowledge of the scriptures is a beautiful and brilliant thing. I know I have made you worry many a night and I myself wondered if I would ever make it out of the fire… but here we are. Standing on top of the mountain looking down at all of the battles won, accomplishments and perseverance that have led us here. And yet as we turn our heads we even taller mountains and we see that the journey is not yet over, as it has really just begun. There is much more work to be done here on this earthly plane before we rise to the next. I am so grateful to have you as my earthly father and I know there was a reason why we chose each other to stand together through this battle, side by side, hand in hand. Thank you. I love you so much. (“Armies of Helaman” just popped into my head and I’m sure that must have come from you, because I am not very familiar with it, until now…. lol)
